Sr. Security Engineer (Trellix)

Description:
On-site in Washington, DC As a Sr. Security Engineer (Trellix), you will serve as the technical lead for our client's endpoint security and data protection initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security solutions to protect critical assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of endpoint security strategies and solutions
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks
• Implement and manage advanced threat detection and response systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and security teams
• Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in information security and endpoint protection
• Proven experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
• Experience with specific client technologies and environments
