Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Description:
Our client is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure) to design, deploy, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure environments. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, high-performance solutions that meet business requirements and security standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure-based solutions including virtual networks, storage, databases, and compute resources.
• Ensure security and compliance of cloud environments through implementation of best practices and monitoring.
• Optimize cloud performance and cost-efficiency through resource management and automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Experience with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, SQL Database, and App Services.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance standards.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Terraform.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and Azure networking services.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in Azure environments.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
