On-site in either Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA or Honolulu, HI Our client seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to support the NMCI Service Management.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance for critical applications and infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain system health, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Implement and manage automated monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
- Optimize system configurations and resource allocation for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security principles.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
