Location: Norfolk, VA

Description:
On-site in either Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA or Honolulu, HI Our client seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to focus on reliability, performance, and scalability of critical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient systems
• Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure system reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
• Optimize system performance and resource utilization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related field
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts
