Senior AWS Cloud Architect/Engineer

Description:
On-site in Reston, VA As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect/Engineer, you will be a key player in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions for our clients. You will work closely with development teams, stakeholders, and other technical professionals to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions on AWS
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into application architectures
• Optimize cloud environments for cost-efficiency and performance
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, specifically with AWS
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions
• Strong understanding of AWS services and features
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies
