Description:
On-site in Reston, VA As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect/Engineer, you will be a key player in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions for our clients. You will work closely with development teams, stakeholders, and other technical professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using AWS services
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into application architectures
- Optimize cloud environments for cost-efficiency and performance
- Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
