Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data storage solutions using technologies such as SQL, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
- Optimize data queries and reporting for performance and efficiency.
- Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and bottlenecks.
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and trends to continuously improve data solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies such as ETL tools, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and data integration techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of data security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting solutions.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
