Client Communications Lead (Government Affairs)

Description:
Hybrid 4 days onsite in New York, NY Our client seeks a client-facing professional who will manage diverse inquiries, translate complex information into actionable insights, and foster strong relationships with government stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of government affairs.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary point of contact for government clients, addressing inquiries and providing timely, accurate responses
• Translate complex policy and regulatory information into clear, actionable insights for clients
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders and decision-makers
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of client services
• Prepare and present reports, briefings, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
• Stay current on government policies, regulations, and industry trends impacting clients
• Lead client meetings and workshops to discuss strategies and address client needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related field
• Strong understanding of federal and state government structures and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials
• Experience with policy analysis and development
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Public Policy, International Affairs, or related field
• Experience working with government agencies on complex policy issues
• Knowledge of specific industry sectors (e.g., healthcare, energy, technology)
• Fluency in a second language
