Location: Washington, DC

Work Type: Hybrid 3 day/week on site in Washington, DC

Our client is seeking an Application Tester to support and develop Java-based applications along with our development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing complex software systems and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for Java-based applications
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues
• Collaborate with developers to ensure code quality and resolve issues
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing
• Provide feedback to improve application performance and user experience
• Support ongoing maintenance and updates to existing applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Proven experience with Java-based applications and frameworks
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
