We are seeking a UX Researcher to guide human-centered discovery and usability evaluation for Army Finance modernization based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O). The solution includes Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. The researcher will work with financial, logistics, and administrative users to understand real tasks and adoption barriers, turning evidence into actionable design, process, training, and delivery recommendations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•          Develop research plans aligned with discovery priorities, delivery milestones, and deployment waves.

•          Conduct interviews, contextual inquiry, task analysis, and usability studies with representative Army users.

•          Identify workflow pain points, accessibility needs, cognitive demands, and barriers to adoption.

•          Analyze qualitative and quantitative findings and develop personas, journey maps, and prioritized recommendations.

•          Partner with business analysts, designers, functional consultants, and developers to connect research findings to backlog decisions.

•          Validate proposed workflows and experiences with users and track measurable usability outcomes.

•          Coordinate participant engagement and research logistics with Government stakeholders and delivery teams.

•          Share findings with change-management and training teams and incorporate pilot and operational feedback into continued research.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

•          5+ years of experience in user research or human-centered design, including 3+ years leading research for complex enterprise workflows.

•          Experience planning research studies, engaging diverse users, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis.

•          Experience with interviews, contextual inquiry, task analysis, and usability evaluation.

•          Ability to evaluate accessibility and usability needs and present actionable findings to business and technical stakeholders.

•          Ability to manage research logistics and connect evidence to product and process decisions.

•          Strong facilitation, analytical, written communication, and presentation skills.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

•          Experience conducting research with federal or Army users.

•          Knowledge of enterprise financial systems or complex administrative and logistics workflows.

•          Experience connecting user research with organizational change, training, and adoption activities.

EDUCATION:

•          Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, psychology, cognitive science, anthropology, information science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.

CLEARANCE / SUITABILITY:

•          Must meet Government citizenship and background check requirements. Any required security clearance and access approvals must be obtained before accessing Government systems or project data and maintained throughout the assignment.

WORK LOCATION:

•          Remote within the United States.
