Warehouse Manager SKSG

The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Integrated Surveillance Tower (IST) sustainment mission. This position ensures reliable and efficient warehouse operations that directly support high System Operational Availability (Ao) across deployed surveillance systems. The Warehouse Manager oversees receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory accuracy of Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE), spare parts, and repair materials used to maintain CBP's IST systems and forward-based warehousing sites. This role partners closely with engineering, logistics, and field maintenance personnel to enable a robust maintenance and repair program.

A sample of duties include, but are not limited to:

• Manage day-to-day operations of project warehouses, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of CBP materials and equipment.
• Manage up to 15 warehouse staff.
• Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development for warehouse personnel.
• Participate in hiring, workforce planning, succession development, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
• Manage warehouse staff, workflow, workload distribution, and training.
• Receive, inspect, document, and store inbound shipments, including GFE and contractor-procured items.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, environmental conditions, and security of all warehouse materials.
• Fulfill material requests from field technicians, maintenance teams, and forward operating locations; coordinate timely shipments.
• Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records using approved inventory management systems (Maximo/ILSS).
• Conduct routine and scheduled inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation reporting.
• Establish, monitor, and report warehouse performance metrics including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment timelines, material availability, asset accountability, shipping performance, and workforce productivity. Develop and implement corrective actions when performance objectives are not achieved.
• Coordinate supply distribution and logistics with field sites supporting remote IST tower maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) supporting CBP's sustainment strategy and performance metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, material flow, warehouse efficiency, operational quality, and cost effectiveness while supporting performance objectives.
• Support engineering and logistics teams with asset tracking, repair cycle management, and disposition activities.
• Maintain compliance with federal property management regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements.
• Serve as the primary custodian for Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and accountable property records, ensuring asset traceability, audit readiness, lifecycle accountability, and compliance with contractual property management requirements and reporting.
• Submits weekly and monthly logs to Program, Project, and Logistics Team for review.
• Supports the Senior Logistics Manager in specialty projects or tasks as assigned.
• Manages and oversees staff perform return merchandise authorization (RMA), return authorization (RA) and return goods authorization (RGA) process.

Safety

• Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings, on-site field safety briefings, and inspections.
• Operate equipment within federal, state, local, and company regulations.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the well-being of others.
• Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, managers, and investigators to ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the company's and customers' safety policies.
• Identify and report safety violations to safety personnel, supervisors, and managers.
• Support safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections.

Reporting

• Provide asset/inventory reports to program staff, Sustainment Program Manager, and PMOas needed.
• Perform accurate timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly as required to support reporting and payroll activities.
• Perform job-related reporting requirements per contract and SKSG corporate policies and practices.
• Create and maintain quality logs.

Driving

• Operate a company vehicle in accordance with local laws/regulations.
• Operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and orderly.
• Report maintenance requirements and/or damage in a timely manner.

Teamwork

• Works closely with other company personnel in a collaborative environment to meet organizational and project deadlines, outcomes, metrics, and mission objectives.
• Participate as a vital crew/team member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization.
• Promote a team approach and maintain communications/dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas for continuous improvement and best practices.
• Complete daily reports and timecards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; Exchange of experience for degree requires 2 years of experience for each year of education.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years (10) years of Inventory Management experience required.
• Experience with Deltek/Costpoint system (preferred).
• Experience with MAXIMO/CBP ILSS database system (preferred).

Licenses & Certification

• Must have, or be eligible for a U.S. Government Security Clearance (DoD Secret or DHS Suitability)
• Current driver's license.
• Certification in Logistics or Inventory Control (preferred).
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug screening.
