Full Stack Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to support the modernization of legacy applications through full-stack software design and development.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), build modern web user interfaces, and design RESTful APIs that adhere to organizational best practices.

What will you do?

• Modernize legacy applications using full-stack software design and development techniques.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop web user interfaces using React, Angular (TypeScript), or Vue.
• Create, configure, and troubleshoot application infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Design and develop RESTful API endpoints that conform to organizational standards and best practices.
• Design, develop, and implement custom Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) methodologies.
• Analyze customer requirements and specifications to develop technically sound software solutions.
• Design relational database schemas and construct queries using databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Develop and implement unit tests to ensure application functionality and reliability.
• Conduct peer code reviews to maintain software quality and adherence to development standards.
• Create, modify, maintain, and execute automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium.
• Work within Agile and Scrum methodologies to support iterative development and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote software development best practices through constructive collaboration.
• Utilize Git, Jenkins, and Jira to support development, integration, and workflow management.
• Perform development and troubleshooting activities within Red Hat Linux command-line environments.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and workflow management skills.

Do you have what it takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and 6-11 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing and supporting applications in cloud environments using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience building web user interfaces using at least one of the following:
  
  • React
  • Angular (TypeScript)
  • Vue
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications using full-stack software development techniques.
• Experience developing technical solutions based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Experience with relational database schema design and query construction using databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Experience designing and utilizing custom ETL methodologies.
• Experience creating, configuring, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure.
• Experience implementing unit tests and conducting peer code reviews.
• Experience creating, editing, maintaining, and executing automated tests using tools such as Selenium.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Experience working within Red Hat Linux command-line environments.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong communication, technical design, and documentation skills.
• Strong time management and workflow management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, solve complex technical challenges, and mentor junior developers.
