Engineer Field A/EW

Valiant is looking for an Engineer Field A/EW to join our team! The Engineer Field A/EW will execute operations and maintenance of electronic threat simulators and related equipment, range communication systems and their associated apparatus, as well as the operation of specialized vehicles and heavy machinery for the transportation of related equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOBSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain threat systems and related equipment, including UMTE, JTE, ARES-IADS, DIADS, Simshield, TENA, DCC, OCS, OCU (C2), Link-16, and BOSS.
• Support range communication systems, including UHF/VHF GATR and LMR. Take part in post-mission aircrew debriefings and provide clear, effective feedback on system use.
• Complete additional range support and collateral duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Active Secret

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining Unmanned Threat Emitter (UMTE) and/or Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) systems, including user maintenance of diesel engines and power generation equipment that supports assigned systems.
• Knowledge of radar systems, communication systems, ancillary radar equipment, digital and analog computers, data processing and transmission, analog-to-digital converters, and situation display facilities, including communications interface equipment.
• Ability to read logic drawings and schematic diagrams; trace signal flow through radar transmitters, receivers, and signal processors; and perform adjustments and alignment procedures to optimize radar performance.
• Proficiency using software to run diagnostic routines and isolate system faults.
• Ability to operate effectively in a military working environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to work independently in a foreign setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be physically able to walk, stand, lift objects over 75 lbs., and/or sit for extended periods of more than two hours.
