Mission Analyis Lead

• Develop and Maintain the Design Reference Mission
• Own the Mission Analysis Database (Databook)
• Maintain Technical Performance Measures and Provide Regular updates to Chief Engineer
• Coordination of Mission Analysis Activities which support design, verification and launch licensing
• Oversight of Trajectory Analysis, Thermal Analysis, EMI/EMC, Survivability, Breakup Analysis and Separation Dynamics Analysis
• Oversight of Specialty Engineering Activities
• Support Design Trade Studies

Standard Job Description :-

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Astrodynamics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (master's degree preferred) Desired Skills
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in missile/rocket trajectory analysis, flight dynamics, or flight-science roles; at least 3 years in a lead or technical-authority position.
• Proven expertise with ballistic, guided-missile, or re-entry vehicle flight-dynamics modeling; familiarity with missile-type propulsion and aerodynamic data.
• Demonstrated use of trajectory-analysis software, thermal analysis software or other mission analysis software
• Active and Current Secret clearance is required. Thus US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills

• Broad-based understanding of specialty engineering disciplines (Thermal, EMI/EMC, Survivability, FMEA, Reliability, Breakup Analysis)
• Advanced Modeling & Simulation - Experience with high-fidelity Monte-Carlo trajectory propagation, familiarity with comprehensive thermal analysis
• Telemetry Integration Understanding - Understanding of ground station coverage and link margins during mission execution
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
