Location: 5 days onsite in Washington, DC
Clearance Required: Top Secret
Top Skills
Oracle & PostgreSQL Database Administration – Administration, troubleshooting/debugging, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and database restoration.
AWS Database Services – Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, S3, and DMS.
Database Performance, Security & Recovery – Experience resolving performance/availability issues, configuring databases to meet federal security requirements, and using backup/recovery technologies such as Oracle RMAN and Flashback.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
This position will be responsible for administering and supporting Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments, including troubleshooting, patching and upgrades, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and resolving database availability issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of DBA experience
Experience administering Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases; ideally both
Experience with AWS RDS, S3, and DMS
Hands-on Oracle/PostgreSQL troubleshooting and debugging
Database patching and upgrades
Performance tuning and optimization
Database backup and recovery, including tools/techniques such as Oracle RMAN and Flashback
Experience restoring Oracle/PostgreSQL databases
Experience configuring databases to meet federal security guidelines
Ability to identify and resolve database performance and availability issues
Experience supporting application developers with the creation and deployment of DML and DDL scripts
Bachelor's degree
