OVERVIEW

Our Fortune 500 client located in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Boomi Runtime Administrator to provide hands-on production support, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of an established enterprise Boomi Runtime environment.

This is a production-focused platform operations position responsible for maintaining the reliability, availability, security, performance, and recoverability of Boomi Runtimes and Runtime Clusters supporting business-critical integrations. The administrator will troubleshoot production Runtime and integration issues, maintain Runtime configurations and high-availability settings, manage platform access, coordinate upgrades and maintenance, support disaster recovery, and proactively monitor platform health and capacity.

The ideal candidate has directly supported a production Boomi environment and is comfortable taking ownership of Runtime incidents in a highly available enterprise environment. This position is focused primarily on Boomi platform/runtime administration and production support rather than integration development.
Key Responsibilities
Boomi Runtime Administration & Production Support

• Provide day-to-day production support for existing Boomi Runtimes, Runtime Clusters, Atom topology, and associated platform components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Runtime availability, deployment, process execution, connectivity, configuration, and performance issues.
• Support production, test, and development Runtime environments while meeting established service-level requirements.
• Respond to production incidents, service requests, alerts, and escalations involving the Boomi platform.
• Coordinate with integration and application developers when incidents involve process design, deployment, connectivity, or Runtime execution.
• Maintain the existing Runtime architecture while implementing controlled improvements as technical and business requirements evolve.
• Participate in mandatory on-call support for the production Boomi environment.

Runtime Maintenance & High Availability

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain existing Boomi Runtimes and Runtime Clusters.
• Administer Runtime configuration, Atom topology, and high-availability settings.
• Validate platform health following maintenance, deployments, infrastructure changes, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Analyze Runtime logs, process execution information, system metrics, resource utilization, and error conditions.
• Maintain consistent Runtime configurations in accordance with established technical and operational standards.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams on operating systems, servers, networks, storage, certificates, and other platform dependencies.

Monitoring, Performance & Capacity

• Proactively monitor Boomi Runtime health, availability, capacity, performance, and operational stability.
• Identify resource constraints, recurring failures, processing bottlenecks, capacity issues, and other conditions that could affect production integrations.
• Analyze processing volumes, execution times, queue behavior, failure patterns, and resource utilization.
• Tune Runtime performance parameters based on enterprise integration workloads.
• Develop and maintain platform monitoring, alerting, escalation, and operational-response procedures.
• Identify and resolve potential problems before they result in significant business disruption.
• Perform root-cause analysis of recurring incidents and implement or recommend permanent corrective solutions.

Security & Access Administration

• Administer Boomi users, roles, permissions, and custom roles.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, user-access, and platform-functionality issues.
• Process access requests and configuration changes according to established security and governance requirements.
• Support the secure management of certificates, credentials, endpoints, and other Runtime dependencies.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation, access reviews, audit requests, security findings, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain Runtime configurations and operating practices consistent with enterprise security and access-control standards.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Maintain and continuously improve disaster-recovery capabilities for the existing Boomi Runtime environment.
• Document Runtime recovery procedures, technical dependencies, recovery objectives, and escalation paths.
• Participate in disaster-recovery exercises and validate the ability to restore or fail over Runtime services.
• Identify weaknesses in existing recovery processes and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate recovery planning and testing across infrastructure, application-development, integration, and security teams.
• Help ensure critical Boomi services remain resilient and recoverable during infrastructure or platform disruptions.

Change Management, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Support controlled Runtime configuration changes, upgrades, maintenance activities, and platform enhancements.
• Maintain detailed operational runbooks, support procedures, architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, knowledge articles, and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, integration, and IT security teams to troubleshoot platform issues and fulfill operational requirements.
• Provide technical guidance during Runtime-related incidents, deployments, changes, and maintenance activities.
• Analyze recurring incidents and identify opportunities for permanent remediation.
• Recommend improvements to platform monitoring, automation, resilience, documentation, support processes, and operational efficiency.
• Support future Runtime architecture changes, migrations, expansions, and capacity-planning initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience providing production support for an established Boomi environment.
• Experience administering Boomi Runtimes, Runtime Clusters, and Atom topology.
• Experience troubleshooting Runtime availability, deployment, execution, connectivity, configuration, and performance issues.
• Hands-on experience with Runtime installation, configuration, patching, maintenance, upgrades, and high-availability settings.
• Experience monitoring enterprise integration platforms and responding to production incidents and alerts.
• Experience administering Boomi users, roles, permissions, custom roles, and access controls.
• Experience analyzing Runtime logs, process execution information, system metrics, and resource utilization.
• Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity for enterprise integration platforms.
• Knowledge of enterprise security requirements involving access controls, certificates, credentials, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure, application-development, integration, and cybersecurity teams.
• Strong incident-management, troubleshooting, root-cause-analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to participate in mandatory on-call production support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Boomi within a large enterprise, utility, critical-infrastructure, or regulated environment.
• Experience administering clustered, distributed, and highly available Boomi Runtime environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, logging, alerting, and IT service-management technologies.
• Strong understanding of DNS, firewalls, proxies, certificates, network connectivity, and related infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with infrastructure automation or configuration-management technologies.
• Boomi certification or comparable integration-platform credentials.
• Experience developing operational runbooks, knowledge articles, architecture documentation, and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Experience supporting platform capacity planning, migrations, expansions, or architecture improvements.

Additional Requirements

Although this position will operate primarily remotely, the selected candidate must be able to travel to the client's New York City headquarters for an onsite identity-verification visit in accordance with cybersecurity requirements.

Additional onsite visits may occasionally be required, with advance notice provided when possible.

Participation in an on-call rotation is mandatory because this position directly supports the production Boomi Runtime environment.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Boomi platform specialist with strong production operations experience, not simply a Boomi integration developer. We are looking for someone who understands what it takes to keep an established enterprise Runtime environment stable, secure, performant, highly available, and recoverable.

You should be comfortable moving between Runtime and Runtime Cluster administration, Atom topology, production incident troubleshooting, logs and performance analysis, upgrades and patching, high availability, access administration, certificates and connectivity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure coordination.

Success in this role requires strong technical ownership and a proactive operational mindset. The right candidate will not simply respond to production incidents, but will identify recurring problems, determine root causes, strengthen monitoring and recovery procedures, and continuously improve the reliability and resilience of the Boomi platform.
