Position Title : Regional Media Analyst
Location : MacDill AFB, FL.
Clearance required : SECRET clearance minimum, with eligibility for TS/SCI
Scope of Work: Provides multilingual monitoring and analysis of AOR-specific foreign news sources for CCPA, delivering timely, contextual insights on regional events and trends using linguistic and regional expertise.

Scope of Work: Provides multilingual monitoring and analysis of AOR-specific foreign news sources for CCPA, delivering timely, contextual insights on regional events and trends using linguistic and regional expertise.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide multilingual monitoring of news and media within the CENTCOM AOR and deliver real-time contextual analysis of significant events.
- Identify and track media trends across political, economic, cultural, and security issues influencing public opinion.
- Draft comprehensive reports on significant regional events for CENTCOM senior leaders and subordinate commands.
- Provide cultural and language expertise, including written and oral translation and interpretation services.
- Update CENTCOM foreign-language social media platforms with culturally sensitive content and recommend engagement methods.
- Provide analysis outside normal hours during crises and accompany CCPA staff on travel within the CENTCOM AOR.
Qualifications
- Secret clearance at time of award, with eligibility for TS/SCI
- U.S. citizenship; fluent English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in media analysis, regional studies, or a related field
- ILR 3/3/3 or higher proficiency in reading, speaking, listening, and writing in a designated language (Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Russian, Hebrew, or Urdu)
- Extensive experience monitoring newspapers, magazines, online news, television, and social media within the CENTCOM AOR
Desired:
- Data analysis proficiency (Excel, SQL, or media monitoring software) and deep cultural awareness of the AOR
