Job Description:
Automation Engineer will drive the quality and efficiency of the software development lifecycle by designing, developing, and owning the comprehensive test automation strategy. They will be expected to architect, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright, while also executing the automated test suites. This role requires a hybrid professional with a deep understanding of both manual and automated testing.
Candidate will leverage expertise in functional testing to ensure complete test coverage and a holistic understanding of the application. They will lead the planning and execution of automation scripts for continuous testing of regression suites, mentor junior team members, participate in code reviews, and drive continuous improvement in the end-to-end testing process by monitoring, reporting, and analyzing defects. Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
Preferred resource skillsets should include:
Automation & Strategy
· Automation Strategy & Planning: Vision and implementation for end-to-end testing.
· Framework Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
· Advanced Automation Scripting: Expert-level with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
· API Automation: In-depth testing and automation (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
· CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
Quality Assurance & Testing
· Test Management & Execution: Full lifecycle management, planning to reporting.
· Functional & Manual Testing: Core manual testing methodologies.
· Test Case Design: Creation of thorough and effective test cases.
· Regression Testing: Strategy, execution, and automation.
· Data Validation: Understanding of SQL for backend data verification.

· Agile/Scrum: Deep experience in agile development environments.
