Job Summary: Engineering Technician - Cleared Contractor - D [About the Role] Join our dynamic team in Palm Bay, FL as a Test Engineering Technician (Level D). This is a highly impactful, hands-on role supporting the development, testing, and maintenance of complex electronic, mechanical, and optical systems. As a cleared contractor, you will contribute directly to mission-critical projects in a secure, fast-paced environment, with opportunities for mentorship and professional advancement. [Responsibilities] - Transport, set up, and calibrate test equipment, fixtures, and cables at designated testing locations. - Assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain custom and COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) equipment and fixtures. - Conduct electronic, mechanical, and optical tests, meticulously recording all data and results. - Execute automated software tests using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs. - Operate a range of advanced RF, optical, and digital test equipment (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.). - Document and report equipment failures and anomalies to engineering teams and stakeholders. - Verify calibration and software licensing status for all test equipment. - Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance as needed. - Proactively recommend solutions and improvements on assignments. - Work closely with engineering oversight to troubleshoot failed assemblies. - Support qualification testing including vibration, thermal, and thermal vacuum procedures. [Required Skills and Experience] - High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 2-year Associate's Degree with 4+ years of related experience. - Active Secret Clearance. - Proficiency reading schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions. - Experience working with and maintaining sensitive electronic and optical hardware. - Ability to operate and interpret results from advanced testing equipment. - Strong attention to detail in documenting tests, failures, and anomalies. - Willingness to work 1st shift (6:00 am - 3:30 pm) and overtime as needed. [Preferred Skills] - Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills. - Experience handling fragile hardware and high-density connectors. - Background in qualification testing (vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum). - Forklift and crane certification or experience.
