Overview
CIS Secure is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician III to support the assembly, testing, configuration, and repair of electronic and electro-mechanical products. This position performs precision production work using technical drawings, specifications, diagrams, and written and verbal instructions to ensure products are assembled and tested in accordance with established requirements.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, wiring and cable installation, troubleshooting, test equipment, and production documentation. This role may also support more complex projects and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to handle or manipulate objects, and communicate verbally. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

This position operates in a manufacturing environment where noise levels are typically moderate, with occasional loud noise associated with production and manufacturing activities.

PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair precision electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, components, and sub-assemblies in accordance with blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and written or verbal instructions.
- Perform daily preparation activities required for the assembly, testing, and repair of company-manufactured products.
- Support complex assembly and production projects requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manufacture, install, route, and terminate wiring, cables, and harnesses according to specifications.
- Assemble computer and other product enclosures to established requirements.
- Position, align, and adjust workpieces, components, and electrical parts to facilitate assembly and wiring.
- Inspect, adjust, repair, or replace electrical and electronic components to correct defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
- Perform repairs to electronic devices, components, and sub-assemblies.
- Use test instruments, fixtures, jigs, hand tools, and other production equipment to complete assembly and testing activities.
- Assist with basic programming, product configuration, and firmware updates as required.
- Configure basic computer networks and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and connectivity issues, as applicable.
- Install computer hardware and software systems and support basic computer security configurations, as applicable.
- Generate and maintain accurate production and repair records.
- Provide instruction or training to less experienced Assembly Technicians as needed.
- Occasionally serve as a lead technician on assigned projects or production activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders regarding technical or production matters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years of related assembly, electronics, electro-mechanical, manufacturing, or technical experience.
- Technical knowledge of electronic and mechanical designs and assembly practices.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed specifications, blueprints, diagrams, technical documentation, and work instructions.
- Working knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tools, processes, practices, and terminology.
- Experience using test instruments, jigs, fixtures, and a variety of hand tools.
- Understanding of the application and operation of test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform work requiring a high degree of precision.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
- Ability to maintain accurate production documentation and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to employees, customers, or groups as needed.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by applicable U.S. laws and regulations.
