Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced V-22 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul activities at NAS North Island, California. This role is ideal for aviation professionals with hands-on V-22 aircraft experience and expertise in either Electrical & Avionics or Airframes systems.
The selected candidate will perform complex maintenance and troubleshooting activities, ensure aircraft serviceability, and support modification programs while maintaining compliance with all military, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced V-22 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul activities at NAS North Island, California. This role is ideal for aviation professionals with hands-on V-22 aircraft experience and expertise in either Electrical & Avionics or Airframes systems.
The selected candidate will perform complex maintenance and troubleshooting activities, ensure aircraft serviceability, and support modification programs while maintaining compliance with all military, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, modify, and repair V-22 aircraft systems and components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Remove, replace, and install aircraft components to support operational readiness.
- Perform functional, diagnostic, validation, and verification testing.
- Interpret technical data and maintenance instructions to execute repairs and modifications.
- Document maintenance actions, inspection findings, test results, and completed modifications.
- Verify aircraft and component airworthiness and serviceability.
- Support depot-level modification and overhaul activities.
- Assist engineering teams in resolving technical discrepancies.
- Perform inspections and identify component deficiencies before installation.
- Ensure compliance with FOD control, tool control, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to less-experienced technicians.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance teams, engineering personnel, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4+ years of related aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience with V-22 aircraft maintenance, modification, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical and Avionics Systems or
- Airframes Systems
- Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with:
- Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Control
- Tool Control Programs
- Aircraft Maintenance Safety Practices
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to travel up to 30% as required to support customer needs.
- Required Skills: Aircraft Maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Quality Assurance experience
- Extensive depot-level aircraft modification experience
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
- Carry/Lift up to 30 pounds.
