Job Description
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer 5, in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Job Description:
- You will perform design, requirements, validation, & verification tasks for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics for the US Army Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs.
- You will perform Platform Systems specific on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
- You will support cross-functional team development with both external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams for different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) builds.
- You will perform your tasks using various engineering tools including TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft, SVN and others.
- You will perform investigations of the Aerospace lab hardware and environment; including integration investigations of the interfaces for Collin Aerospace equipment and government furnished equipment in the lab.
Required qualifications
- Relevant Systems Engineering Job Experience
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Working knowledge / understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429)
Preferred qualifications
- Military Avionics Experience
- Experience with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA and/or Microsoft Office Suite is desired
