Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Senior Topside Engineer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA .
Position Description:
Design and develop specializes in electromagnetic interference and compatibility, with corrective actions to identify problems. Identifies and recommends engineering fixes to mitigate unacceptable risks and conducts evaluations on any new systems being placed on surface assets.
Must have a SECRET clearance. An interim clearance is acceptable.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Required Qualifications and Skills:
o Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Naval Architecture.
o System performance requirements
o Ship operations (Safety, HM&E, Structural, Vulnerability, Physical clearances, Navigation, Navigation lights, Exhaust and Intakes, RADHAZ, Environmental, Shock and Vibration, Combat systems, System coverage)
o Deck operations (Replenishment at sea, Line handling, Ordnance, Small boat operations, Man overboard, Damage Control) Aviation; Aviation
o Signatures or EMI/EMC

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline.
- In addition, twelve (12) years of demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to one or more of the following;
o Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Naval Architecture.
- Seven (7) years of experience in Research, Development, Test, Engineering, or Integration related to shipboard systems
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following specific areas:
o System performance requirements
o Ship operations (Safety, HM&E, Structural, Vulnerability, Physical clearances, Navigation, Navigation lights, Exhaust and Intakes, RADHAZ, Environmental, Shock and Vibration, Combat systems, System coverage)
