We are currently seeking candidates to fill a CBA - Aircraft Avionics Mechanic opening in support of Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL) - Patuxent River, MD.
The Aircraft Avionics Technician is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and monitoring of complex electrical and electronic systems within aircraft jamming pods. Working under the guidance of senior leads, you will ensure the mission readiness of critical electronic warfare components, including the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ). This role requires technical precision, a commitment to safety, and the ability to interpret complex technical data.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The hourly rate for this position is $49.10. This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.

- Maintenance & Repair: Execute day-to-day avionics maintenance on assigned aircraft jamming pods and ancillary equipment.
- Technical Compliance: Interpret blueprints, manufacturer manuals, and technical data to perform precise repairs.
- Regulatory Adherence: Assist in maintenance department operations in strict accordance with NAVAIRINST 3710.1G and approved procedures.
- Safety & Accountability: Conduct all tasks in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining 100% accountability for tools and equipment.
- Program Support: Comply with special programs and maintain all required job and safety training qualifications.
- Operational Flexibility: Support detachments as required (<10>
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of electrical theory and proficiency with aircraft-unique tools (test equipment, indicators, and meters).
- Proven ability to utilize technical publications, guidance, and aircraft/equipment logs.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in repair, inspection, and flight-line operations within NAVAIRINST 3710.1 or CNAFINST 4790.2 equivalent systems.
- 2+ years of NAWC/NAVAIR experience.
- Familiarity with supply and logistics policies/procedures.
- Ability to perform functional duties independently and lead tasks based on skill level.
