InDev is seeking a UI/UX Specialist with 5+ years of experience designing intuitive, user-centered digital experience for web and mobile applications in complex enterprise environments. This role will help to enhance the usability, accessibility, and overall user experience of mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human-centered design principles, user research methodologies, interaction design, information architecture, and Section 508 accessibility requirements. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and government stakeholders, the UI/UX Specialist will translate business and mission needs into engaging, accessible, and mobile-first user experiences that improve customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness. This position will play a key role in driving design consistency across the application portfolio, leveraging a branding guide and modern design practices to support digital transformation, application modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

InDev is seeking a UI/UX Specialist with 5+ years of experience designing intuitive, user-centered digital experience for web and mobile applications in complex enterprise environments. This role will help to enhance the usability, accessibility, and overall user experience of mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human-centered design principles, user research methodologies, interaction design, information architecture, and Section 508 accessibility requirements. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and government stakeholders, the UI/UX Specialist will translate business and mission needs into engaging, accessible, and mobile-first user experiences that improve customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness. YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design intuitive, accessible, and user-centered experiences for mobile and web-based applications.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs aligned with the customer directed Branding Guide and Section 508 requirements.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to improve application functionality and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
- Assist with the creation of demos and end-user guides.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement through user feedback, analytics, and emerging UX best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Graphic Design, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing user experiences for web and mobile applications.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating business requirements into user-centered design solutions.
- Proficiency with UX/UI design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
- Experience developing wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for responsive applications.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements and usability best practices.
- Experience collaborating within Agile development teams and working closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
NICE TO HAVES
- Education focus in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or User Experience Design.
- CBP, DHS, or other federal civilian agency experience.
- Experience supporting mobile applications, cloud environments, and DevSecOps.
