InDev is seeking a highly motivated Mission Data Analyst with expertise in investigative data to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The ideal candidate has a federal law enforcement background and experience analyzing international trade, financial, transportation, and other investigative datasets to identify cross-border criminal networks. In this role, you will collect, integrate, and analyze large volumes of investigative data to detect anomalies and uncover illicit activity. Supporting HSI’s mission to combat Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs), Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs), and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs), you will apply intelligence-driven analytics to identify, disrupt, and dismantle networks involved in narcotics trafficking, human smuggling, trade-based money laundering, customs fraud, weapons trafficking, and other border-related crimes.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advanced Investigative Analytics: Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) and other supported analytics tools to create reports and support anomaly detection, predictive analysis, and outlier detection.
- Pattern & Network Analysis: Analyze investigative and intelligence data to identify trends, relationships, and criminal networks associated with TCOs, FTOs, SDGTs, and other cross-border threats.
- Predictive Analytics: Identify emerging threats, high-risk entities, transportation routes, and evolving smuggling methodologies to support proactive enforcement operations.
- Federal Systems Expertise: Leverage DHS, ICE, CBP, and other Federal law enforcement systems to support targeting, investigations, and operational decision-making.
- Analytical Products: Efficiently produce products from data analyses and disseminate analytical products through DHS digital platforms such as SharePoint, SEACATS, ICM, RAVEn, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders, including DHS leadership and field offices, are well informed.
- Investigative Data Expertise: Analyze diverse datasets, including international trade and customs records, FinCEN and financial data, cargo manifests, transportation and supply chain information, aviation and maritime data, communications records, OSINT, and law enforcement databases.
- Investigative & Enforcement Support: Deliver timely analytical support to HSI Special Agents and field offices by identifying investigative leads, criminal associations, targeting opportunities, and enforcement recommendations.
- Information Sharing & Deconfliction: Coordinate investigative information, resolve case overlaps, and ensure appropriate information sharing among law enforcement partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Associate’s degree plus three additional years of directly related experience may be substituted).
- 8+ years of experience supporting complex Federal law enforcement, criminal intelligence, or investigative analytics missions.
- Experience analyzing international trade, customs, financial, transportation, supply chain, and other investigative datasets to support criminal investigations.
- Experience supporting investigations involving Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs), narcotics trafficking, human smuggling, customs fraud, financial crimes, trade-based money laundering, or border security.
- Strong knowledge of intelligence analysis techniques, including link, network, trend, predictive, and anomaly analysis.
- Proficiency with DHS, HSI, CBP, ICE, FinCEN, SEACATS, UPAX, ICM, and other Federal law enforcement analytical systems.
- Experience producing intelligence products, investigative reports, executive briefings, and operational assessments for senior leadership.
- Proven ability to collaborate with Federal law enforcement, intelligence, and interagency partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex analytical efforts, provide strategic recommendations, and serve as a technical resource or mentor to junior analysts.
