As an Avionics Design Engineer, you will support the development of Avionics Packages for multiple target Reentry Vehicles and Electrical Support Equipment.

As an Avionics Design Engineer, you will support the development of Avionics Packages for multiple target Reentry Vehicles and Electrical Support Equipment.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
- Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.
- Develop and review electrical system architecture for flight vehicles.
- Provide leadership and oversight of flight system electrical/electronics designs.
- Perform and lead avionics component selection and support trade studies.
- Perform and lead reviews and analyses for existing and new designs.
- Provide support to system level testing, troubleshoot and resolve test anomalies
To be effective in this role, you will need:
- Experience with selection of electronics/avionics components
- Significant experience in hardware troubleshooting
- BS or higher or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years professional experience.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in electronics/avionics system design for tactical or flight applications
- Experience with selection of electronics/avionics components (trade studies, etc.)
- Significant experience in methodical hardware troubleshooting with focus on determining root cause and corrective action
- Experience working with avionics suppliers on design and troubleshooting
- Ability to prepare and present technical review and troubleshooting data to program leadership and customer
Desired Skills
- Experience in technical product development from concept to implementation, both independently and leading a technical team
- Experience providing electrical/electronic support for production and test activities
- Lockheed Martin Material Review Board certification highly desired
- Lockheed Martin Certified Principal Engineer experience and current training highly desired
- Experience with hardware qualification for flight environments
- Experience developing and managing cost and schedule planning (Control Account Management)
