Required Skills
Prior personnel security adjudication experience required.
Tier 4 Public Trust (or higher) background investigation required.
Strong preference for candidates with previous federal contracting experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Preferred Skills
Prior personnel security helpdesk experience preferred.
Prior direct experience working with DCSA systems preferred.
Experience with Tier 4 Public Trust (or higher) adjudication preferred.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The HSPD-12 IT Operations Jr Professional I (Adjudication) will support personnel security, credentialing, and background investigation processing activities for the CMS population.
Responsibilities include:
Review investigative reports completed by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) to determine completeness and identify any required follow-up actions.
Conduct telephone interviews for reference checks, employment verifications, and education verifications.
Evaluate derogatory information, perform case analysis, and prepare written recommendations for Federal staff review and final adjudication.
Scan and upload appropriate adjudication documentation into Security Manager.
Assist the CMS team with all aspects of front-end background investigation processing for the CMS population.
Enter and maintain data in CMS processing systems, including, but not limited to, the Case Management System, VAS, Security Manager, IDMS, SCMS, Access CMS, the Enterprise User Administration (EUA) Identity & Credentialing Tool (ICT), and the Contractor Database System/Tool.
Enter and maintain information in the e-APP system from initiation through completion for the CMS population. Conduct quality reviews of submitted information and communicate with customers in person, by email, and/or by phone to ensure accurate and complete submissions.
Fingerprint customers for credentialing and background investigation processing using the BEST enrollment software station.
Access the DCSA CVS/PIPS database to review customers' prior investigation information, document case and adjudication status, and upload relevant information into the customer's Security Manager profile for review by Federal Personnel Security Specialists.
Verify that foreign national customers provide documentation establishing federal work authorization. Upload applicable documentation into Security Manager and record work authorization expiration dates for credential processing.
Organize, manage, and upload all case-related documentation into VAS and/or Security Manager profiles, as applicable.
Evaluate derogatory information received through the Trusted Workforce program and prepare required notifications in accordance with applicable government procedures.
Analyze submitted case documentation and prepare complete requests/packages, including recommendations, for review and adjudication by Federal personnel.
Coordinate and collaborate with government personnel to ensure the timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks and mission objectives.
Education
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
