Job Description

Seeking a Senior Land Systems Analyst with recent experience with emerging land systems and innovative capabilities. Experience with both DoW and Commercial sectors important. Experience in one or more of the following categories desired: Test and Evaluation (T&E), command and control, US Army Future Vertical Lift (FVL), XM-30 Combat Vehicle, Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (F LRAA). Expertise with Digital Engineering (DE) tools is critical. Candidate will provide engagement from DoW-level stakeholder to programs and services building the next generation of land systems.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Land Systems Analyst, you will:
  • Work as part of a small team within Office of the Undersecretary of War (Research and Engineering) (OUSW(R&E)) focused on understanding DoW land systems architectures, emerging capabilities, and technologies in order to provide effective engagement with land acquisition programs, prototyping efforts, and concepts.
  • Working for the Deputy Director for land, you will engage with priority land systems acquisition programs to provide an independent analysis of program status, technological maturation, and risk areas.
  • Support small-team efforts to analyze programs and characterize risk tied to program acquisition milestones. Collaborate with land programs across the DoW to understand their efforts including program plans, acquisition plans, technical approach and maturity, schedule, risk, and other aspects in order to present status to OUSW(R&E) leadership.
  • Effectively communicate program status, issues, risks, plans to executive leadership in narrative, briefing, and oral form.
  • Evaluate and understand the technology and engineering capabilities central to land programs; understand how land capabilities impact and support the Joint Warfighter.
  • Work independently to become an expert on programs and technologies within your area; develop and execute a tailored plan to facilitate DTE&A engagement with your programs; apply best practices from across DTE&A.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals. Integrate your analysis from your specific programs into the overall team view of DoW space systems.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Army Evaluator familiar with the Army Evaluation Center (AEC) and the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)
    • Experience with Measures of Performance (MOP) / Measures of Effectiveness (MOE)
    • Experience in developing and/or reviewing Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
    • Military Acquisition Professional (optional)
    • Digital Engineering (DE) tool(s) experience desired

    Recent work in emerging land systems involved in one or more of these areas: Test and Evaluation (T&E), command and control, US Army Future Vertical Lift, XM-30 Combat Vehicle, Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (F LRAA). Looking for technical and T&E experience.
  • 11+ Years of experience with a Bachelors degree required (Masters preferred) and Secret clearance


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $195,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
