Job Title: Sr. Enterprise Engineer
Location: Shaw AFB, SC
Clearance Level: Secret, Must Have Clearance to Start
Required Certification(s): DoD 8140 DCWF 651, Advanced Level; and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent certification
The candidate will provide engineering support for enterprise networks, systems, and infrastructure in support of the U.S. Air Force, delivering advanced technical expertise and O&M activities for mission-critical environments. Candidates must bring professional-level proficiency in VMware vSphere, Microsoft enterprise services (Active Directory, Exchange), and Cisco UCS, with additional familiarity in cloud platforms such as Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS, as well as virtual desktop technologies like Citrix or VMware Horizon. This position requires an experienced professional capable of contributing immediately, demonstrating a strong track record in similar roles, delivering complex technical projects, and performing effectively without extensive ramp-up or training.
Core Position Responsibilities:
- Direct host patching, maintenance, and major version upgrades across multi-cluster ESXi and vCenter environments
- Fine-tune VMware DRS rules, High Availability (HA) admission controls to maximize compute density and hardware efficiency
- Design and govern vSphere Distributed Switch (vDS), including uplink teaming policies, network failover teaming policies, and VLAN tagging integrity
- Architect and audit dedicated, non-routed Layer 2 storage fabrics (SAN, iSCSI, NFS), ensuring complete absence of Layer 3 SVIs and gateway routing hops
- Verifying consistent Jumbo Frame (9000/9216) MTU settings across VMkernel interfaces, vNICs, fabric interconnects, physical switches, and storage targets
- Author, validate, and maintain unified UCS server profile templates across B-Series blade rack servers to eliminate configuration drift
- Enforce zero-trust identity baselines, privilege access workstations principles, and DISA STIG compliance across enterprise forests
- Implement Tiered administrative modules, eliminating insecure credential exposure and auditing sensitive privilege delegation paths.
- Establish engineering documentation standards, perform root-cause analysis, develop detailed infrastructure topology diagrams and standard operating procedures
- Drive technical engineering forums, deliver regular executive briefings on platform health, Enterprise system modernization initiatives

- This position requires candidates to be U.S. citizens and to possess, at minimum, an active Secret security clearance
