Job Title: Test Engineer (Factory Test & Integration)
Location: Nashua, NH – 100% On-Site
Position Type: 12-Month W-2 Contract w/ potential for extension
Start Date: Fully funded and can start ASAP
Status: Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
Overview
The Test Engineer will support factory floor testing activities for upgraded hardware systems on an active defense development program. This role is responsible for executing test procedures, operating automated test equipment, troubleshooting hardware issues, and supporting qualification efforts for modified systems. The position requires extensive hands-on interaction with hardware, test stands, and electronic measurement equipment in a production environment.
Responsibilities
● Support factory floor testing and qualification of upgraded hardware systems involving discrete signal verification.
● Set up, configure, and execute tests using National Instruments (NI) hardware, software, and test stand environments.
● Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other measurement equipment to verify hardware functionality and performance.
● Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues independently and perform root cause analysis.
● Support qualification and validation activities for upgraded or modified equipment.
● Work closely with factory support, engineering, and test teams to maintain operational test capabilities.
● Document test results, discrepancies, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions.
● Assist with test stand maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
● Hands-on experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software.
● Experience working with automated test stands in a factory, laboratory, or production environment.
● Proficiency using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test and measurement equipment.
● Experience performing discrete signal testing and hardware validation.
● Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to investigate and resolve hardware issues independently.
● Comfortable working directly with electronic hardware in a hands-on environment.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
● Prior factory floor or production test support experience within a defense or aerospace environment.
● Experience qualifying, validating, or supporting upgraded test equipment and hardware systems.
● Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or other National Instruments development and test platforms.
● Familiarity with hardware integration, system-level testing, and manufacturing support activities.
