About the Opportunity
We are seeking talented Cloud Platforms Engineers to support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives across defense and national security programs. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about building secure, scalable cloud platforms that enable mission-critical applications and services.
The successful candidate will help design, automate, and operate cloud environments that support government and defense customers while maintaining the highest standards of security, resilience, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Develop automation to improve reliability, security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with application, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
- Support containerized workloads and platform modernization initiatives.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and performance optimization practices.
- Assist with cloud governance, security controls, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues.
- Contribute to cloud architecture reviews and strategic technology planning.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting cloud platforms in enterprise or government environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity, and access management.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter capable of succeeding in a remote and collaborative environment.
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), federal civilian, intelligence community, aerospace, or defense-sector programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, or other regulated cloud environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or container orchestration platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements within regulated environments.
- Cloud certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or equivalent.
