Job Description

J32 Global Force Management (GFM) Analyst

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Global Force Management Analyst and Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Manager
  • Provide executive level Global Force Management assessments to the SOCCENT J3 Director and Commanding General
  • Execute operational level force requirements planning for SOCCENT and CSOJTF-C
  • Forecast SOF and conventional enabler requirements to support Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield
  • Produce the annual Consolidated Request For Forces (RFF) on behalf of CSOJTF-C
  • Provide SOCCENT expertise to CENTCOM in all phases of GFM operations
  • Assess sourcing recommendations from SOCOM and the Services to meet CSOJTF-C operational objectives
  • Plan force requirements two years in advance of execution
  • Recommend allocation of available forces to meet SOF Campaign objectives
  • Utilize the Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager Database and the Force Requirements Enhanced Database
  • Comprehend and utilize the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP)
  • Release Official Messages as required in Automated Message Handling System (AMHS)
  • Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products
  • Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
  • May perform travel CONUS/OCONUS (TDY status, attend conferences, planning efforts, OPTs with appropriate clearance levels, and exercises) as required and remain fully qualified and current with all specified/required training


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least a BA/BS in one of these disciplines: Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis
  • Joint Professional Military Education Level I or Service Equivalent (i.e., Command and General Staff College; Air Command and Staff College, etc.)
  • At least 3 years strategic and operational planning and analysis
  • At least 3 years' experience in any of the following: CENTCOM AOR; MISO; MILDEC; CWMD; ORSA; CYBER; AT/FP; SNA; Special Programs; Interagency Experience
  • Equivalent combinations of at least 5 years of SOF operational experience and education
