J33 Battlewatch Supervisor - Directorate Task Lead

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and lead the Battlewatch Support Team Monday-Friday (0900-1700 hrs), providing oversight and management of all Battlewatch Specialists; maintain awareness of J3 activities and provide leadership, mentorship, training, and knowledge management requirements to all subordinate Battlewatch specialists
  • Resolve and complete all assigned work, tasks and objectives, and reporting requirements on a daily basis
  • Provide a daily summary of all items received through the Battlewatch during off-duty hours, as well as compilation of any items received throughout holiday periods
  • Provide leadership and scheduling oversight over all Battlewatch Specialists, including providing Battlewatch shift schedule to the COR by the last day of each month for the following month, ensuring 100% manning at all times; the report shall be submitted for Government approval; maintain all relevant training requirements and daily specialized technical support requirements for all Battlewatch Specialists
  • Act as an assistant to the Senior Contract Program Manager (SCPM) for all J3 activities occurring within a given timeframe, as well as assist in report compilation and completion as required
  • Monitor, assess, and report the status of all SOF and friendly force current operations in the USCENTCOM AOR as requested
  • Monitor and sustain communications with and maintain situational awareness of all current and ongoing operations and advise the J33 Chief as required
  • Attend meetings as required to provide operational information/status updates to the J33 staff
  • Communicate and coordinate with the planning cells of the Future Operations Section regarding the Command and Control (C2) status of current operations
  • Provide support and initial response to crisis and appropriate notification across the spectrum of potential events
  • Ensure full operability of the Battlewatch Support Team's role as the central notification and data-source center for both crisis and other significant, non-routine events, including denial-of-service cyber-attacks
  • Assist with updating and improving Battlewatch processes and TTPs


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA/MS in one of these disciplines: Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis
  • Joint Professional Military Education Level II or Service Equivalent; Advanced Military Education Levels (i.e., School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS); Service War Colleges)
  • At least 5 years strategic and operational planning and analysis
  • At least 3 years' experience in any of the following: CENTCOM AOR; MISO; MILDEC; CWMD; ORSA; CYBER; AT/FP; SNA; Special Programs; Interagency Experience
  • Equivalent combinations of at least 10 years of SOF operational experience and education
