Job Description

Koniag Government Services is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Corporate Security, Risk, and Resilience to support the KGS Security Team in Chantilly, Virginia. This role reports directly to the Chief Security Officer (CSO).

The VP of Corporate Security, Risk, and Resilience safeguards the organization's digital data, physical assets, and business operations. The VP leads strategies spanning cybersecurity, physical security, crisis management, and business continuity to minimize threats.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Enterprise Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and systemic vulnerabilities across the business.
  • Security Architecture Framework: Directing both physical security (e.g., access control, force protection, etc.) and information security, including cybersecurity (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)
  • Resilience & Continuity: Lead disaster recovery and system contingency planning to ensure the organization can survive and recover from disruptions.
  • Incident & Crisis Response: Design playbooks and lead teams during active threats, breaches, or emergencies.
  • Management Function: Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with security oversight for information systems.
  • Insider Threat Program Management: Serve as the new Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) and lead insider threat investigations, including internal security inquiries, infractions, and violations.
  • Security Training: Guide Team leads in developing security training programs and awareness campaigns that foster security awareness and operational security.
  • Policies & Procedures: Guide Team leads with updating, maintaining, or developing documentation, such as standard operating procedures, security-related policies, and process improvements across the enterprise.
  • Executive Advisory: Brief the CSO and other C-suite executives on current risk postures and threat mitigation strategies.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical security area
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in security, risk management, or operational resilience, often at the senior director or equivalent government level.
  • Minimum of 15 years conducting complex security investigations or investigations involving insider threat, criminal, cyber, counterintelligence, counterterrorism matters
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), preferred but not required.
  • Active Top-Secret security clearance
  • Deep understanding of frameworks, including CMMC, NIST, ISO 27001, and business continuity standards.
  • Proven ability to manage large global programs or teams, influence technical and non-technical strategy, and work with stakeholders across the organization.
