Summary

AV is seeking an experienced cyber or CNE targeting professional with strong technical expertise, data analytics, and operational awareness. The ideal candidate has experience with digital networks, analyzing large and unstructured data sets, identifying anomalies, and using technical findings to support client decision-making. With in this role, you will support a client's operational requirements through cyber and/or Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) targeting. Additional background in finance, cryptocurrency, business, or emerging technologies is highly desirable.

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct cyber and/or CNE targeting in support of client operations.
  • Apply targeting concepts to digital networks and technical environments.
  • Use Intelligence Community (IC) tools and systems to support operational objectives.
  • Collect, clean, organize, and analyze raw data.
  • Identify hidden patterns and draw actionable conclusions from data.
  • Apply predictive analytics to anticipate trends, behaviors, or outcomes.
  • Apply prescriptive analytics to support improved operational decision-making.
  • Analyze network traffic to establish baseline activity and identify anomalies.
  • Leverage emerging technologies, including financial technology (FINTECH), where relevant.
  • Research and apply knowledge of business, cryptocurrency, finance, and related fields to targeting and analytical efforts.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Active TS//SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
  • More than three years of experience in: Cyber targeting; CNE targeting; or combination of cyber and CNE targeting experience.
  • Strong understanding of Digital networks; Technical targeting concepts; Data collection and analysis;
  • Network traffic and anomalous activity.
  • Experience using IC tools and systems.
  • Ability to analyze and organize complex technical data.
  • Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable conclusions and decisions.


Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
  • Internet applications and protocols
  • Windows operating systems
  • Linux operating systems
  • SQL
  • Hadoop
  • Other database management systems (DBMS)
  • Scripting languages, particularly Python
  • Network traffic analysis tools, including: Wireshark, Suricata, and nDPI.
  • Experience with Cryptocurrency, Finance; and/or related financial or commercial fields.
  • Interest in applying new and emerging technologies to operational and analytical challenges.
  • Familiarity with or interest in FINTECH applications.


One or more of the following certifications is desired:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA)
  • Security+.


Location: This position is on-site in McLean-Tysons area.
