Position Description:
We are seeking a Compliance Validation Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), a large scale Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) federal financial management environment hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
This role is responsible for building and maintaining cloud native financial compliance validation services that enforce accounting rules, evaluate posting logic, and ensure end to end conformance to federal financial standards across all financial modules. The engineer develops OCI based microservices, validation APIs, and integration workflows that support audit readiness, rule governance, and enterprise transparency.
This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the Continental US.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Develop and maintain validation microservices using OCI Functions or Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) to enforce USSGL, SFIS, SLOA, and Treasury posting logic.
. Integrate validation logic into OCI DevOps CI/CD pipelines with policy driven quality gates tied to rule changes and posting logic impact.
. Implement OpenAPI based validation endpoints and publish them via OCI API Gateway with request validation, authentication, and rate control.
. Use machine readable crosswalk artifacts (JSON/YAML) to drive rule checks and ensure consistent mapping from SLA/AA/AG to USSGL/SFIS outcomes.
. Emit compliance logs, metrics, and events to OCI Logging & Monitoring for use in OAS dashboards and RCA workflows.
. Collaborate closely with Posting Logic Architect, DevSecOps, and QA engineers to ensure consistent rule enforcement across builds, deployments, and production operations.
. Troubleshoot validation failures, support root cause analysis workflows, and assist with remediation recommendations.
. Produce technical documentation, API specifications, and operational guidance supporting deliverables.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 5+ years engineering experience working with API based services, validation frameworks, or enterprise application integrations.
. Hands on experience developing microservices using Python, Java, or similar languages.
. Experience building and deploying workloads using OCI Functions, OKE, or other cloud native serverless/container platforms.
. Knowledge of OpenAPI standards, JSON based payload validation, and API gateway routing.
. Experience integrating services into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub/Jenkins/OCI DevOps) with quality gates tied to test results.
. Ability to obtain/maintain IT II Non Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) investigation.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Experience with Oracle EBS Financials, SLA/AutoAccounting, or federal financial posting logic.
. Familiarity with USSGL, SFIS, SLOA, and Treasury TFM compliance requirements.
. Experience using OCI Logging & Monitoring, Object Storage, or API Gateway.
. Strong analytical and problem solving ability for diagnosing rule deviations and data inconsistencies.
. Effective communicator able to coordinate across functional accounting, cloud engineering, DevSecOps, and QA teams.
. Comfortable operating in structured, compliance driven federal environments.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $198,400.00.
