Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Identity Management Operations Engineer to support the daily operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise identity and access management systems.
The Identity Management Operations Engineer will support certificate lifecycle management, server and application infrastructure, patching coordination, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure. This role will work closely with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, automation, and cloud teams to help ensure identity management services remain secure, reliable, and available.

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Identity Management Operations Engineer to support the daily operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise identity and access management systems.
The Identity Management Operations Engineer will support certificate lifecycle management, server and application infrastructure, patching coordination, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure. This role will work closely with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, automation, and cloud teams to help ensure identity management services remain secure, reliable, and available.
Job Responsibilities
Identity Management Operations Support
- Support the operation and maintenance of enterprise identity and access management systems and related infrastructure.
- Assist with application support activities, including system configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to resolve issues affecting identity management services.
- Support migration, rebuild, and environment refresh activities for identity management applications and supporting systems.
- Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and configuration information as needed.
- Manage certificate-related activities, including:
- Requests
- Renewals
- Conversions
- Installations
- Activations
- Validations
- Troubleshoot certificate issues, including expiration alerts, installation errors, renewal problems, and deployment failures.
- Coordinate with internal and external support teams to ensure certificates are properly deployed across servers, applications, virtual IPs, and cloud-based services.
- Follow approved processes for certificate handling, tracking, and implementation.
- Support new server builds, server refreshes, and server decommissioning activities through approved service management processes.
- Validate new or rebuilt servers to ensure they meet application and operational requirements prior to handoff or production use.
- Install and configure required system components, including runtime environments, certificates, monitoring configurations, and baseline user environment settings.
- Assist with cloning, migrating, or rebuilding applications across servers or environments.
- Investigate and resolve server and application issues, including:
- Resource utilization
- Storage capacity
- System errors
- Service failures
- Performance concerns
- Configure, update, and support monitoring for application servers, virtual IPs, and related infrastructure components.
- Respond to system alerts and incidents affecting identity management systems.
- Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, escalation, and coordination with appropriate technical teams.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring operational issues.
- Monitor software update notifications and coordinate required maintenance activities for identity management infrastructure.
- Support routine patching and software updates for application runtimes, web servers, application servers, and related system components.
- Coordinate production patching activities in accordance with approved change management processes.
- Validate system functionality after patching and coordinate with application teams to confirm successful implementation.
- Support package maintenance, testing, deployment, and version management for customized or internally maintained software components.
- Review vulnerability findings and assist in identifying appropriate remediation owners.
- Remediate system-level vulnerabilities, including:
- Outdated software
- Unsupported components
- Obsolete files
- Configuration issues
- Coordinate with application teams on application-level vulnerability remediation.
- Support investigation and remediation of findings from vulnerability scanning and web application assessment tools.
- Track remediation activities and support compliance with organizational vulnerability management requirements.
- Support cloud-hosted infrastructure used by identity management systems.
- Manage virtual server instances, load balancing components, and network security configurations.
- Assist with cloud resource provisioning, configuration changes, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with cloud, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure cloud resources are secure, available, and aligned with approved requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 5+ years of overall information technology experience.
- Bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- Experience supporting enterprise identity and access management, identity governance, federation, directory services, or related operational environments.
- Experience with certificate lifecycle management and PKI processes, including certificate requests, renewals, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Linux or Unix-based servers in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with IT service management processes, including:
- Incident Management
- Request Management
- Change Management
- Configuration Management
- Experience supporting software patching, system updates, and vulnerability remediation.
- Working knowledge of application servers, web servers, runtime environments, and Linux-based application hosting.
- Experience troubleshooting operational issues such as:
- Resource utilization
- Storage capacity
- System errors
- Failed services
- Application availability alerts
- Ability to coordinate effectively across application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, automation, and cloud teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document technical procedures, status updates, and troubleshooting results.
- Experience with identity management platforms, access management tools, federation services, or directory services.
- Experience with enterprise certificate management platforms.
- Experience administering AWS cloud infrastructure, including virtual servers, load balancers, and security groups.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools or web application scanning platforms.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting customized or internally maintained software packages.
- Experience working in a production operations environment with formal change management processes.
- Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of additional experience as a substitute.
