Position Overview
Telecom/TSS Technician
Location: Trinidad, Port of Spain, Dusseldorf, Germany, Sudan, Juda, Malawi, Lilongwe, Kalispell, Montana (Travel & Lodging covered)
We are seeking an experienced professional to support Fusion Technology’s federal and OCONUS projects.
This position requires strong hands-on experience with security, access control, CCTV, intercom, and related systems, along with the flexibility to travel and remain overseas for extended assignments.
Position Expectations & Qualifications:
- Willing and able to travel extensively for project assignments.
- Comfortable remaining OCONUS for extended periods.
- Previous experience supporting overseas projects is preferred.
- Candidates may be based in the United States or internationally, depending on project requirements.
Opportunities may be available as full-time employment (FTE) or independent contractor (1099) positions, depending on the project and applicable requirements.
Security Clearance:
- Current or previous U.S. security clearance preferred for applicable projects.
- Candidates should be prepared to provide their current clearance status for verification through the appropriate process.
Federal / Government Experience:
- Previous DOS/OBO experience is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting DoD, DOJ, DOE, or other federal agencies is preferred.
- Previous experience working with government contractors is beneficial.
- Active PIV Badge or CAC Card is beneficial when applicable to the assignment.
Systems & Manufacturer Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems from manufacturers including:
- Cinch Systems
- Federal Signal Selectone
- Genetec
- Axis
- Hanwha
- Software House
- AES
- Aiphone
- Inovonics
- Cisco switches
Equipment Installation, Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting:
- Door contacts
- Electric strikes
- Maglocks
- AES door control racks and modules
- PIR motion detectors
- Digital cameras
- Video-over-fiber transceivers
- Camera system workstations
- Network switches and firewalls
-DVRs
- Speakers
- Intercom audio and video stations
- Power supplies
Cabling & Installation:
- Experience with the installation and termination of copper and fiber cabling.
- Ability to install, connect, configure, and troubleshoot field devices and associated hardware.
- Experience with new installations, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), or both.
Certifications & Training:
- Relevant trade, manufacturer, or industry certifications are preferred.
- Must be willing to learn new systems and obtain additional certifications when required by the project.
