Program Analyst

KBR is seeking a Program Analyst Journeyman to join our Team! Be part of a dynamic team of talented professionals supporting the exciting world of Foreign Military Sales on the Australian F/A-18 Super Hornet and Growler Program. This position is in Lexington Park, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive program management support to the PMA-265 Australia Integrated Product Team (IPT) across all F/A-18 air vehicle, subsystem, armament, engine, airborne weapons, technical publications, spares, support equipment (SE), transportation, and training/trainer efforts. Assist in coordinating program activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Support the development, modification, and review of acquisition and contractual documentation, including Procurement Initiation Documents (PID), Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and delivery schedules. Ensure all artifacts conform to program requirements and comply with DoD acquisition and contracting regulations.
  • Coordinate, support, and participate in major program events, including program management reviews, technical coordination meetings, conferences, briefings, and other significant activities occurring CONUS or OCONUS. Conduct analysis and provide program insights to support PMA-265 Australia IPT objectives.
  • Apply analytical techniques to evaluate program and project objectives, assess requirements, monitor performance status, review budget execution, and analyze schedule adherence. Provide data-driven recommendations to support informed program decision-making.
  • Conduct management, technical, and business case analyses, delivering structured assessments that strengthen program planning, execution, and reporting. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve program outcomes. Collect, organize, and interpret technical and financial data related to aircraft, weapons, and acquisition programs. Maintain structured documentation, ensure data accuracy, and support program reporting requirements. Track and monitor program and project status, including milestones, schedules, risks, and performance metrics. Identify variances, assess impacts, and support corrective-action planning to maintain alignment with program objectives and timelines.
  • Implement and maintain government-mandated processes for documentation control, configuration and change management, and data management. Ensure compliance with applicable DoD policies, standards, and security requirements. Identify and analyze program issues, record action items, recommend courses of action, prepare draft meeting minutes, and archive program documentation. Maintain organized records to support traceability and program continuity. Support technology transfer and foreign disclosure activities by developing required documentation, applying appropriate DoD markings, and routing packages through foreign disclosure review channels. Ensure compliance with DoD disclosure policies and international program requirements.


Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA & At least three (3) years of experience including two (2) years professional experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and/or components development with specific knowledge of FMS and Defense Security Assistance Programs. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with program/project status reporting and schedules. Familiarity with SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, LCM of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series). Must have experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military programs.
  • Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the following software programs, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Adobe Pro.
  • Specific knowledge of FMS and Defense Security Assistance Programs is desired including policy and procedures related to defense acquisition programs (i.e. DoD 5000 series).
  • Experience in acquisition program management, including coordination of program activities, development of acquisition artifacts, and support to milestone documentation, is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.


Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $95,000-$143,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
