Job Description

Markon is building a talent pool of SCIF Inspector III (Senior/Lead Inspector) professionals to support future Intelligence Community facility and secure construction missions. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify experienced professionals to lead multidisciplinary inspections of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and ensure compliance with ICD 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable security requirements. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings requiring senior-level technical leadership, inspection expertise, and oversight of complex secure facility projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary SCIF inspection teams and oversee inspection activities across physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security disciplines.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and assessments of SCIF construction and facility requirements in accordance with ICD 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable technical standards.
  • Serve as a technical authority for complex or disputed inspection findings and provide recommendations for corrective action and compliance.
  • Review inspection documentation and perform quality control of reports and findings prepared by junior inspectors.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Inspector I and Inspector II personnel.
  • Coordinate with customers, engineers, construction teams, security professionals, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Support inspections of domestic and OCONUS facilities, including embassy environments, as required.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive inspection reports, findings, and technical documentation.


Qualifications

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field; 8 years of directly relevant experience may substitute for a degree
  • 7+ years of SCIF inspection experience under ICD 705 and ICS 705-1
  • Proficiency across SCIF inspection disciplines, including physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security
  • ICD 705 Inspector Training
  • CDSE CD116 (TEMPEST Fundamentals) or NSA-approved TEMPEST training
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary inspection activities
  • Strong technical writing, quality control, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills

Desired:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
  • Experience conducting OCONUS and/or embassy SCIF inspections
  • Experience serving as the technical authority for complex or disputed inspection findings
  • Experience mentoring junior inspectors and performing quality control reviews of inspection reports


Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
