Job Description

Markon is building a talent pool of SCIF Inspector I (Entry-Level Inspector) professionals to support future Intelligence Community facility and secure construction missions. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify developing professionals to support inspections of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and assist with compliance activities under ICD 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable security requirements. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings providing hands-on inspection, documentation, and technical support under the guidance of experienced inspection personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct SCIF inspection activities under the direct supervision and guidance of senior inspection personnel.
  • Assist with the collection and documentation of inspection data, including photographs, measurements, observations, and supporting records.
  • Support inspections involving physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, information systems security, and other applicable SCIF requirements.
  • Assist with identifying and documenting potential deficiencies and compliance issues.
  • Draft inspection report sections, findings, and supporting technical documentation for review by senior inspectors.
  • Maintain inspection equipment, calibration records, documentation, and other required inspection resources.
  • Coordinate with inspection team members, facility personnel, security professionals, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Develop knowledge of ICD 705, ICS 705-1, inspection methodologies, and applicable secure facility requirements.


Qualifications

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate's degree in a relevant technical field or 4 years of experience in physical security or facility management
  • 2+ years of DoD or Intelligence Community physical security program experience
  • Completion of or enrollment in ICD 705 Inspector Training, with required training to be completed within 12 months of assignment
  • Foundational knowledge of physical security, facility security, or secure construction requirements
  • Ability to collect, organize, and accurately document technical inspection information
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under the guidance of senior inspectors and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desired:
  • Familiarity with ICD 705 and ICS 705-1 requirements
  • Exposure to SCIF construction, accreditation, inspection, or facility security activities
  • Experience preparing inspection documentation, reports, photographs, or technical records
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment, measurement tools, and equipment calibration requirements
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community facilities


Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
