Position Summary

NuAxis Innovations is seeking a senior Telecommunications Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for a nationwide enterprise network supporting the U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps program. The Job Corps environment is a converged IP network supporting voice, video, data, physical-security systems and remote users across Job Corps locations nationwide. The Telecommunications Manager will lead LAN/WAN, telecommunications, voice, network infrastructure and lifecycle-management activities while guiding future network enhancements and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and tactical decision-making for current network operations and future service enhancements.
  
• Oversee enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN and telecommunications engineering.
  
• Direct network infrastructure spanning Layers 1, 2 and 3.
  
• Lead voice and unified communications operations, including VoIP services.
  
• Oversee network design, deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management and modernization.
  
• Support secure converged voice, video and data services.
  
• Oversee low-voltage voice/data infrastructure and associated network requirements.
  
• Ensure reliable integration of network, application-delivery, server, storage and communications platforms.
  
• Lead technical teams through complex network projects, upgrades and operational issues.
  
• Coordinate telecommunications services across geographically dispersed Job Corps locations.
  
• Support network security, firewalls, VPN connectivity, application delivery and continuity of operations.
  

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of telecommunications infrastructure and IT operations experience spanning:
  
  • Layer 1 - Physical
    
  • Layer 2 - Data Link
    
  • Layer 3 - Network
    
  • Voice technologies, including VoIP
    
• At least 10 years managing and leading IT professionals.
  
• At least 10 years of lifecycle planning and management experience.
  
• At least 10 years managing and driving large and small IT projects to completion.
  
• At least 10 years designing and maintaining enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
  
• At least 10 years supporting Windows Server production environments.
  
• At least 10 years managing production Storage Area Networks.
  
• At least 10 years of experience with centralized computing infrastructure, specifically including technologies such as Citrix XenApp, Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and scripting.
  
• Demonstrated ability to make strategic and tactical decisions supporting both current operations and future network-service enhancements.
