Position Summary

NuAxis Innovations is seeking an experienced Systems Operations Manager to provide technical and operational leadership for enterprise infrastructure supporting the U.S. Department of Labor's Job Corps Data Center environment. The Systems Operations Manager will provide deep technical leadership across server, cloud, identity, virtualization, storage, application delivery, and related infrastructure services. The environment supports 1,000+ servers and more than 40,000 users in a 24x7x365 operation. The successful candidate must combine strong infrastructure architecture knowledge with the ability to lead enterprise operations, technical improvements, complex deployments, and troubleshooting activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems operations and cloud/infrastructure architecture supporting the Job Corps enterprise environment.
  
• Translate business and operational requirements into technical infrastructure requirements and solutions.
  
• Provide technical leadership across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure AD, virtualization, storage, PKI, Citrix and related enterprise technologies.
  
• Oversee infrastructure upgrades, deployments, patching, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical-improvement initiatives.
  
• Support hybrid/on-premises and cloud environments, including production cloud applications and geographically redundant services.
  
• Coordinate infrastructure activities involving systems engineering, networking, application teams, cybersecurity and end-user support.
  
• Ensure infrastructure availability, security, documentation, recoverability and operational continuity.
  
• Support enterprise integration, web services and three-tier application environments.
  

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• Extensive Microsoft Active Directory administration experience, including Group Policy.
  
• Extensive experience with:
  
  • Citrix Apps and Desktop
    
  • Citrix NetScaler
    
  • On-premises PKI and/or PKI-as-a-Service
    
  • Enterprise patch-management technologies
    
  • Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
    
  • SharePoint / SharePoint Online
    
  • VMware virtualization
    
  • SAN technologies and architecture, including Pure Storage
    
• Experience with data-center networking, including routing, switching, firewalls and site-to-site connectivity.
  
• Experience supporting three-tier application architectures.
  
• Experience with continuous-integration platforms.
  
• Experience designing, building, deploying and managing Enterprise Application Integration and Web Services solutions.
  
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating large production cloud environments using AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or comparable platforms.
  
• Experience with AIX, Linux and IBM V-Series storage.
  
• Extensive experience managing enterprise IT rollouts, upgrades and complex troubleshooting.
