Position Summary
HgP is seeking a Junior Records Management Specialist to provide operational and analytical support to the USCP Records Management (RM) program. The position will support records inventories, lifecycle activities, reporting, communications, training coordination, and records-related activities across program offices.
Key Responsibilities
• Support department-wide records inventories by collecting, validating, and organizing inventory data.
• Coordinate with program offices and Records Liaisons.
• Assist with records transfers, disposal guidance, destruction-list reviews, and retention-schedule activities.
• Prepare and distribute RM communications, newsletters, and informational materials.
• Maintain Records Liaison listings and supporting documentation.
• Participate in RM planning meetings, document minutes, and track follow-up actions.
• Support RM assessments and surveys by gathering data and preparing summary reports.
• Assist with RM training coordination, attendance tracking, and material preparation.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and data-oriented materials.
• Coordinate onsite records transportation, inventory validation, and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree.
• Minimum 3 years of records management and execution experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze records data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Federal records management experience and Records Management IT experience preferred.
