Clearance Required: DHS Public Trust EOD, US Citizen (Secret Clearance or above preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid; onsite 2 days a week minimum/once a month on-site customer facing meeting; in the National Capital Region (Arlington, VA or Washington, DC) (applicants must be based within a commutable distance (no more than 2 hours) within the National Capital Region
Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Business Analyst to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients. The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below.

Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for this position is $80,000– $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Business Analyst to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients. The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other teams to review control data and identify improvements in the IT delivery process and controls.
- Contribute to the creation of dashboards and reports demonstrating control adherence and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with others to deliver complex projects which may involve multiple systems.
- Recommend technologies and tools that improve the efficiency, quality, and security of IT systems.
- Assist in conducting process gap analysis of controls to key regulations, mapping to industry standards and developing continuous compliance monitoring.
- Ensure system owners are compliant with renewals and contracting process.
- Serve as liaison to IT, Finance, and Acquisition teams, ensuring that a strong relationship and smooth daily processes are maintained.
- Decompose and document large initiatives into smaller requirements.
- Present documented requirements to stakeholders for feedback.
- Suggest product improvements or enhancements to increase end-user satisfaction.
- Facilitate and lead meetings with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage SharePoint site to include technical capabilities in design and site architecture.
- Manage Confluence Jira board for multiple teams.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels.
- Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
- Able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
- Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Takes the initiative to research, learn and deliver; anticipates the play.
- Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Software Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).
- Knowledge of Cloud Systems and Solutions
- Ability to independently manage SharePoint sites.
- Familiarity with process automation tools and data pipelines.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications or relevant experience.
Desired Certifications:
- Certified Product Owner or Certified Scrum Master
- Advanced Certified Product Owner or Advanced Certified Scrum Master
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an environment leveraging Agile.
- Active or recent previous DHS experience highly desired.
- Proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset.
- Expertise in supporting transformative initiatives across multiple teams.
