Job Description
SMS has an immediate opening for Configuration Manager - Sr on our Cryptologic and Cyber Division (CCSD) Security team at our Lackland Air Force Base site in San Antonio, TX. Our team supports the CCSD by ensuring communications are secure and protected against Cyber threats while provide continuous access for authorized users. In this role, you will:
Gather IT Requirements and provide analysis for IT related projects within the CCSD.?Receive, review, analyze, and process Communications Support Requirements Documents (CSRD) in accordance with the requested services or requirements and prepare for the Requirements Review Board (RRB).

Job Responsibilities
- Perform requirements analysis and recommend IT solutions for submitted requirements.
- Work with the customer (Product Owner and other stakeholders as required) directly on a frequent basis to gather, refine and confirm requirements.
- Answer questions about the details of confirmed requirements. If new questions or issues arise, the Requirements Manager will work with the customer to verify, confirm, and/or request decisions when new questions or issues arise.
- Works with the IT Project Manager to ensure the PM is aware of changes to requirements, especially changes that impact the scope, schedule, or cost.
- Change/Configuration Management - Provide required information to the HNC-TO Requirements Review Board (RRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure that all necessary requirements are approved by each section.
- Site Surveys - The Contractor shall perform site surveys at required locations. The findings of the site survey and any actions required in preparation for system installation shall be documented and reported.
- Inquiries - Address technical inquiries, perform research, and interface with outside distributors, customers, and support organizations for IT related requirement issues.
- Technical Solutions - Support CCSD customers by interpreting IT requirements, gathering additional information, and providing technical sound solutions in accordance with CCSD and JBSA Lackland baseline configurations.
- Provide oversight of the Requirements Review Board (RRB) to ensure new requirements are within scope.
- Perform weekly reviews of overall projects, ensuring the proper assignment and involvement is accomplished. Provide input on project priorities based on customer need date and concurrence in HNC-TO CCB.
- Communicate with all other sections within HNC-TO and appropriate host base units, such as 502CS, 690th, AF JWICS, and NSA, ensuring baseline configurations are approved and appropriate IT assets are assigned and ready for deployment upon customer requirements and need dates.
- Quality Control/Quality Acceptance - Perform and monitor Quality Acceptance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program ensuring work within all HNC-TO sections meets HNC expectations.
- Attend weekly meetings to update Government leadership on status, issues, and resolutions as required.
- Assist Base Equipment Control Officer (BECO) with Asset Management.
- Provide software asset lifecycle management of HNC procured software, from procurement to retirement, which includes applications, license agreements, and software upgrades.
- Provide asset inventory and services that track the financial aspects of an asset to include cost and depreciation, Task Order management, leases, maintenance agreements and service Task Orders.
- Maintain software in accordance with DoD and Air Force instructions related to Unit Software License Manager.
- Perform USLM inventories as required and report to the Government Lead.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of directly related experience in requirements analysis, quality assurance, and quality control. Experience in supporting classified intelligence networks is a plus.
- Demonstrated a strong work ethic and ability and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate in a clear speaking voice as well as the ability to respond clearly to questions.
- Aptitude to address negative situations and resolve them in a positive manner.
Certifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- IAT-II: Security+ CE, or SSCP
Clearance Required
- Must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance or a Top Secret with the ability to obtain a SCI.

- Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Automate set of tools
