About The Role

The USFK Joint Cyberspace Center (JCC) provides and maintains a leading-edge cyberspace operations capability directly supporting Combined Forces Command (CFC), United Nations Command (UNC), and USFK Command and Control (C2) networks.
  • As a Real-World Cyberspace Operations Planner, you will develop command guidance, prioritize operational recommendations, and integrate cyberspace operations with Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Joint Task Forces, and Mission Tailored Force Packages.
  • Coordinate and establish joint operation planning objectives and Mission Essential Tasks (METs) in support of the Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Theater Campaign Order (TCO), Armistice, competition, combat, and contingency operations.
  • Draft cyberspace appendices and annexes to major planning documents, focusing heavily on Northeast Asian threats, nation-states, and Malicious Cyberspace Actors (MAC).
  • Collaborate with USFK staff and subordinate units to consolidate cyberspace requirements, including Requests for Forces (RFF) and Requests for Support (RFS). Interface with USINDOPACOM, USCYBERCOM, and other CCMDs to ensure support requirements are appropriately captured.
  • Coordinate with the USFK staff to ensure METs and Joint Mission Essential Tasks (JMETs) are updated for monthly input into the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).
  • Develop and update Crisis Action Standard Operating Procedures (CASOPs) for the JCC and CFC Cyberspace Coordination Cell (4C), as well as general cyber operation SOPs.
  • Provide expert input to briefings, transition strategic concepts to tactical execution, and assist in coordinating joint operational planning for training and exercises.
  • Prepare for and active participate in the Command's Tabletop Exercises, Wargames, Combined Arms Rehearsals (CARs), and Exercise Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) Drills.
  • Prepare for and host the organization's weekly Projects and Plans meeting. Coordinate planning across higher, lower, adjacent, and multinational (coalition) headquarters.
  • Work to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools into the Combined Joint All-Domain Tasking Order (CJADTO) framework to enhance situational awareness, predictive analysis, and decision support.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required. Must possess or obtain a baseline certification in compliance with the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (8570/8140) within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must have successfully completed or be able to successfully complete one of the following within six (6) months of hire:
    • Joint Cyberspace Operations Planners Course (JCOPC)
    • A service-specific equivalent planner course
  • Demonstrated understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts within cyberspace operations
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) level briefings, position papers, and white papers.
  • Experience drafting official military correspondence, including executive Information Papers, White Papers, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), and Memorandums for Record (MFRs) for senior leadership
  • Prior experience coordinating plans with multinational coalition partners, specifically the Republic of Korea (ROK) military forces.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
