Job Description
About Peraton
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. As the world's leading mission capability integrator and transformative enterprise IT provider, we deliver trusted, highly differentiated solutions and technologies to protect our nation and allies. Peraton operates at the critical nexus between traditional and nontraditional threats across all domains: land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. The company serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies and supports every branch of the U.S. armed forces. Each day, our employees solve the most daunting challenges that our customers face. Visit peraton.com to learn how we're keeping people around the world safe and secure.
Program Overview
The program is an IDIQ contract for an AWS-based cloud hosting system. Currently, Peraton is supporting the Cloud Security, IoT, and AIML use cases for the environment in a hybrid work environment with Federal employees. Peraton also support the following applications as part of the environment: Dremio, Tableau, Globus, Posit/RStudio, Atlassian, ThingLogix, Alteryx and CloudCheckr.
About The Role
Peraton's Department of the Interior (DOI), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), and NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) have identified a critical gap in the federal government's ability to conduct comprehensive Endangered Species Act (ESA) research. While FWS operates an authoritative web-based platform for managing data for terrestrial and freshwater species, it does not currently include NMFS marine and anadromous species data forcing agencies to rely on separate, manual processes. This program closes that gap by integrating marine and anadromous species data into the existing FWS platform, creating a single, unified experience for all ESA-listed species.
Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to focus on compliance validation, defect remediation, and production support activities on a federal data integration program. You will play a critical role in ensuring the platform meets ESA Section 7 regulatory requirements and remains stable and performant through production deployment and beyond.
