The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining simulation software for complex systems, with a strong focus on software engineering best practices and performance optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance simulation software for complex systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement and integrate simulation models with existing systems and frameworks.
- Optimize simulation performance and scalability to meet real-time and large-scale requirements.
- Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex simulation issues to ensure system stability and performance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in software development best practices and simulation techniques.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in simulation and software engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on simulation and modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience with simulation frameworks and tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Ptolemy, etc.).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real-time simulation and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of parallel and distributed computing techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
